The Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mela Kyari, was seen today at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Naija News learnt that President Muhammadu Buhari met with the NNPC Boss behind closed doors with the agenda of the meeting yet unknown as at the time of filing this report.

2. Supreme Court Delivers Final Judgment On Gov. Ikpeazu’s Election

The Supreme Court of Nigeria, sitting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, has affirmed the election of Okezie Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the Governor of Abia State, Southeast Nigeria.

Naija News reports that the apex court delivered the final judgment on Ikpeazu’s election on Wednesday, January 8, dismissing the appeal brought before it by Alex Orti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

3. Buhari Summons South West Governors Over New Security Outfit

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday summoned the six governors from the South West region to a meeting at the Presidential Villa.

An official of the United States Pentagon has claimed that no casualties were recorded on the side of the US troops after Iran attacked its facilities base in Iraq.

The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Kukah, says it is only the use of bombs that differentiates the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari from Boko Haram insurgents.
